Leadership

PRESIDENT

With the support of teachers and administration, I built this program from the ground up. I was delighted to share my knowledge, experience, and expertise with peers. I utilized my expertise to assist and prepare students for careers beyond high school. My role as elected president gave me the opportunity to contribute back to the CTE community.

Competition

3D PRINTING

Additive Manufactuing was the first competition I competed in as a SkillsUSA member. The regional “competition” featured a job interview regarding additive manufacturing. The judge was so impressed with my presentation that he personally took me aside expressing his outlook on my bright future ahead. I’ll never forget what that judge told me, laying the foundations to my confidence as a public speaker forever.

Competition

AMT

This competition, Automated Manufacturing Technology (AMT), is a CAD, CAM, and CNC milling competition. It calls for a three man team and involves everything from design to a finished product. I was in charge of CAM, and also acted as the middleman/team leader. The competition took around 6 hours and time was always a concern.
